Dupli, the UK’s leading photographic equipment & consumables supplier are pleased to announce Alzheimer’s Research UK as their new Charity Partner from April 2023.

Recent studies* into the impact of dementia related illnesses on society in general have reported that we could be on the brink of a what could be classed as a pandemic. If a cure is not found within the next few decades, then the rising cost of care could cripple the economy. People living with dementia could suffer from a lack of funding for treatment options and caregiver education.

Dupli are pleased to work with Alzheimer’s Research UK to promote their Think Brain Health campaign as well as collaborating on projects to highlight the role that photographic images can play in creating and stimulating memories with the personal benefits this can bring to patients and caregivers alike.

Dupli Marketing Manager Craig Bird elaborated, “Alzheimer’s and dementia are subjects very close to my heart and I’m delighted that we can partner with such a leading light in the field of Alzheimer’s Research. Their accessible programme of preventative activities is the ideal way to encourage individuals to maintain brain health whilst the vital work of researching treatments and cures continues in the background. At the same time, Dupli can reach out into the photographic community to raise awareness of this vital work and the role photography and print can play amongst those affected by this devastating disease."

Zoe Dean, Regional Fundraising Officer for Alzheimer Research UK was equally as enthusiastic about the new partnership.

“We’re so grateful to Dupli for supporting Alzheimer’s Research UK. Dementia affects a significant proportion of the population – one in three people over 65 in the UK will die with some form of the condition. Fantastic fundraising efforts like this will help us to make life-changing research breakthroughs for people with dementia.”

This partnership is the first to be announced by Dupli since their recent name change and re-brand from Tetenal, marking their commitment to being a responsible employer with the health and well-being of their team at the top of their agenda.
